WHO IS VANESSA?

Magali Vanessa Silengo is the founder, co-owner and culinary creative head of Pâtisserie Vanessa (she picked her middle name for the company!). She has always been passionate about cooking, baking and delighting others.

After several years of experience in the luxury beauty field, she followed her heart and established the company in 2013, partnering with specialty coffee shops.

She opened the first flagship retail location - at 1340 Lexington Avenue, New York, in the heart of Carnegie Hill, in March 2023, along with her husband Marc-Antoine Silengo, who joined the company full time as General Manager and Co-owner, in 2021.

Inspired by memories of the South of France, Vanessa’s purpose is to transport Pâtisserie Dreamers with her unique, playful elegant assortment of the simplest, most delicious pastries that are true to her heart.

Where are the pastries made?

Pastries are freshly handcrafted every day, at the Pâtisserie kitchen at 1340 Lexington Ave, New York, in the heart of Carnegie Hill, with natural ingredients only, and a pure taste that is not too sweet but just right.

 

How SHOULD THE PRODUCT BE STORED?

We recommend that you keep pastries in their original box.
° At room temperature: Le Canelé, Le Trésor, La Brioche, La Madelaine, La Chouquette, Le Cake Marbré, Le Cake Citron, Le Cookie Deux Chocolats, Le Cookie Flourless, Le Banane VGF, Le Croissant, Le Pain au Chocolat, Le Financier.
°Fridge (take them out 15/20 minutes before): La Charlotte, Le choux Chantilly, Le Macaron, L’ouson.

How long will the pastries last?

we recommend eating pastries within one or two days of purchase.

 

Are the pastries gluten free?

Three of our pastries are gluten free: our Banana cake in walnut or chocolate chips flavor, our Flourless Cookie, and our Macarons.

 

Are the pastries vegan?

None of our pastries are vegan except our Banana Cake in walnut or chocolate chips flavor.

 

Do the pastries contain nuts?

Some of our pastries contain nuts. All of our pastries are made in our kitchen and may have traces of nuts.
°Nut recipes: Le Trésor, Le Financier, Le Macaron, Le Cake Marbré, L’Ourson, Le Banane VGF walnut.
°No Nut recipes: Le canelé, La Charlotte, Le Choux Chantilly, Le Pain au Chocolat, Le Croissant, La Brioche, La Madeleine, Le Cake Citron, La Chouquette, Le Cookie Deux Chocolats, Le Cookie Flourless, Le Banane VGF chocolate.

 

Do you offer delivery?

We do not offer delivery at this time. You can go to our website to schedule a pick-up at our Pâtisserie.

What does "Pâtisserie Vanessa" mean?

Pâtisserie is the French translation of a pastry shop. Vanessa is the middle name of Magali Vanessa Silengo, the founder of the company.

 

Do you MAKE custom cake?

We have Vanessa’s menu of celebration cakes of various kinds and flavors that you can shop HERE and pre-order.
You will also have the option to add a chocolate plaque on top of the cake that can be personalized with a message of up to 25 characters (for example: Happy Birthday Vanessa!) 

We don’t offer full cake customization.
